I love to day trade the stock $TSLA, Tesla. Whether it is day trading the stock with options or shares, I’m always watching Tesla. Some day Tesla treats me well and I walk away with some very worthwhile profit. The reality of being a day trader however is that, at times, instead of you playing the stock like a fiddle, it plays you like a fiddle. You will walk away feeling “owned”. As long as this is not happening to you all the time, then please realize these things happen to all of us. It’s part of being a day trader. It does not mean you’ve done anything wrong per se, it just means that there is no perfect trading strategy and/or system in existence. This is where risk management comes into play and is so critical. It’s never fun to have days where you feel like you were owned; however, you need to remember that when you manage risk you keep yourself alive to experience those awesome days where you feel as though you did the owning! If you are a beginner day trader, the sooner you realize day trading is not always glitz and glamor, the better off you will be. Let me show you (using some of my personal day trading results captured, live, on video) what I mean by a less than glamourous day!
