The good ol’ “flush”. What is this you ask? When a price breaks through a level and the momentum picks up pace and shoves the price down even further. Depending on the circumstances, sometimes being part of a flush is a great experience. However, at other times (like was the case in this trade), being caught within the flush is not fun… at all! But you know what? As day traders, this is bound to happen from time to time. There is no way of escaping getting caught up in these kinds of price movements. When it happens, does this mean you don’t know what you are doing and are a total moron? Of course not! You just need to learn to adapt and roll with the punches (aka, “manage risk”) when it happens. What does it look like to get “caught in a flush”? Let me show you a real life example!
