Risk management is the name of the game for us in the trading world. Narrow “the trading world” down a bit further into futures trading and risk management becomes that much more important! Futures can make you a whole lot of money in a very small amount of time; however, that is a two sided coin. If you want to find success as a futures day trader, one of the concessions you’ll have to make from time to time is “playing it safe”. There’s nothing inherently wrong in doing so, in fact, it can be the wisest move to make depending on the circumstances. When you take the “safe” road though, there are consequences.
