After getting very comfortable with using 1 SPX option contract, I’m beginning to increase my trading position size a bit. One of the biggest downfalls I’ve seen over the years of trading and coaching is beginner traders increase their size in overly large ways. I understand the temptation. The more trading size, the more money can be made; however, that’s a sword that cuts both ways. Sure, people may give you a hard time to using smaller size and then increasing it in small ways, but these are the exact people you need to ignore. Slowly scale up and let your results and data drive you in your decision making process. In the real world of day trading, nothing happens overnight or within a few weeks. Success and figuring out strategies take time. Let’s get to it!
