In this live trading video, I capture my futures trades as they happen in real time while explaining my thought process along the way. I start by breaking down how I trade futures through a prop firm, which allows me to control larger positions while keeping my personal risk relatively low. Early in the session, I spot a trendline breakout with strong momentum and jump into a quick trade. The move happens fast, and I’m able to lock in a solid profit within seconds. It’s a great example of how quickly futures can move when momentum is present. After building some gains, I switch from NQ contracts to MNQ (micro futures) to focus on protecting profits and managing risk. I take a smaller scalp and explain how micro contracts slow down both gains and losses, which can be helpful after a strong start. Later, I watch for a potential bounce near a key support area, but the setup doesn’t quite trigger the way I want. Even though the price reacts from the level, I miss the entry, which highlights an important lesson—being generally right about direction doesn’t always translate into profits without proper execution. Overall, this session covers breakout trading, momentum, risk management, and the importance of precise entries in day trading futures.
