In this live trading video, I record my screen and walk through several futures trades as they unfold in real time. I start by explaining that I trade futures through a prop firm, which allows traders to participate in the market while risking very little of their own capital compared to the potential upside. Early in the session I notice price getting rejected near a trendline, so I wait for confirmation before entering a short trade. The setup works out and I’m able to capture a quick $570 profit. After that, I continue watching the chart with a bearish bias, but as the market begins pushing higher I adjust my thinking and stay flexible with the price action. Later I take another quick trade and lock in additional gains, bringing the total on the day to just under $1,000. After building a solid cushion, I switch from trading the larger NQ contracts to the smaller MNQ micro contracts to focus more on protecting profits and managing risk. Throughout the video I talk about my thought process, how quickly bias can change as a day trader, and why risk management becomes important after you’re already up on the day. Even though the market action is a bit slow and uneventful later in the session, I decide to call it a day and walk away with the profits rather than force trades. This video is a real look at live futures trading, including decision making, adapting to market conditions, and managing risk during a trading session.
